Rentrée Drinks – September 2021

It was a great pleasure to host our first post-pandemic physical event on 2 September and see so many faces, new and old!

The LSE AAB has a tradition of organising an end-of-summer networking event to mark the beginning of a new professional year (la Rentrée) and to welcome offer holders leaving Belgium shortly after to study at the LSE. This year, it was even more special to us, as reconnecting with our LSE community was long overdue. We did so on the beautiful terrace of Cospaia bar.

We would like to thank all the participants, and especially H.E. Martin Shearman, the UK Ambassador to Belgium, for his time and insightful remarks about studying in the UK and the upcoming policy priorities for the UK, such as:

• Relaunching the economy in the post-pandemic era;
• Fighting climate change;
• Further defining the future relationship with the EU post-Brexit.
